Confidential, research-driven instruction for adults who want to strengthen reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in Monongalia and Preston Counties.

What we do

Literacy support for adults, families, and local communities.

Services are available to native English speakers and English language learners. LVMPC works with adult learners to build practical reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Instruction is free, confidential, and grounded in proven literacy practices. Learners can ask about tutoring, learning materials, English language support, and available class options.

The prior site and Facebook archive highlighted learner milestones such as licenses, voting, family school participation, and Pro-Literacy defined goals.

97 Pro-Literacy defined goals met in 2021 by 76 adult learners.
1,111 Learner goals achieved in 2020 through LVMPC instruction.
33 Driver licenses obtained by learners in 2020.
17 New voters registered by learners in 2020.
