Join Literacy Volunteers for a very special occasion! It's our 30th anniversary and we're celebrating with a tea party! Join us at the Aull Center (next to the Morgantown Public Library) on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:30 - 3:30 PM.

Ruby Read Mini Library Dedication Ceremony - Oct. 4

The Literacy Volunteers of Monongalia and Preston Counties is thrilled to invite the members of our organization, community members, friends and supporters to join us this Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 1pm-2pm at the Morgantown Friends Meeting House (648 East Brockway Ave., Morgantown, WV) as we officially place and open our first Ruby Read Box Mini-Library in Monongalia County.

Fall 2013 Tutor Training

In November, we had our tutor training for Fall 2013! Our new tutors gathered to meet each other and learn strategies for working with their learners. The training was led by Judy Seaman, a LiteracyWV tutor with over 30 years of experience. If you missed this training but are interested in participating in the next one, contact us and we will keep you updated. Our next training is tentatively scheduled for the spring of 2014.
